is the backdrop for today's edition of "Cabin Country".  The Land
Learning Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to
introduce young people to the outdoors.  Today we hunt "Just Drakes"
from a classic pit blind and learn about this great organization.

"Predator Man" -
Today Bill and friend Rod Haydel travel to East
Texas to hunt Coyotes with Byron South.  Byron is one of the nation's
leading experts on hunting and calling Coyotes.  The team looks at
set-ups, camo, predator rifles and calling as the hunters become the
hunted!

"Permission to Land" -
There are special duck hunting days when
birds commit so readily that the action resembles jets landing at an
airport.  The callers play the role of air traffic controllers as ducks
approach with wings set and feet down.  Today Bill Saiff III and good
friend Rod Haydel work these birds as they give the incoming ducks
"Permission to Land"!  This show is filled with great tips on rigging
field set-ups, dog work and calling.

"Bucks on the Cut Line" - This week Bill travels to Alberta to hunt
deer with Stan Eden and Buck Stop Outfitting.  Stan illustrates rattling
and grunting techniques as he and Bill call numerous bucks from the
Canadian bush.  Watch classic rut behavior unfold and look on as Bill
takes a split brow 10 point.

The Pacific flyway boasts a lengthy waterfowl season and a 7-bird bag limit.  Outfitter Paul Sullivan is a master at
getting his clients into green-headed Mallards.  Paul's Maximus hunting blinds and his land development techniques keep him covered up in ducks, and his decoy modification is second to none.  As the fog rolls in - so do the ducks!

travel to Alberta to hunt grain fields for ducks and geese.  The duo is
joined by four sportsmen from Utah as they put on an impressive display of waterfowl calling.  The boys focus on single reed calls in this show and the ducks commit without hesitation.

This week Bill and Outdoor writer Bob Humphrey are at the Brush Ranch in the state of Wisconsin.  Bob is field-testing the new Lightfield saboted muzzleloader round.  It's the pre-rut and some early estrous does have the local buck population going wild!
